Communication
The school’s official channel is Itaca / Web Família. Everything formal — absences, late arrivals, messages to the teacher, canteen queries — goes through there. WhatsApp groups are between families, not between families and the school.

Itaca is the Valencian regional government’s platform for communication between families and the school. From there you can:
- Report absences and late arrivals
- Send messages to the class teacher or school office
- View grades and official notices
If you have trouble getting your login credentials at the start of term, you may need to go to the school office in person. This is common for new families — it is perfectly normal.

Parent–teacher meetings
Individual meetings with the class teacher usually take place before December. The usual time slot is Fridays from 14:00 to 15:00.
To book a meeting, use Itaca or whichever channel the teacher specifies at the start of term.
At the beginning of term there is also a general class meeting in the classroom, where the teacher introduces the year and answers questions from all families.

Class WhatsApp group
Each class has a WhatsApp group managed by families, not by the school. It is used for coordination between parents: reminders about materials, homework questions, event planning.
There is usually a padre o madre delegado/a (class rep — parent liaison) who acts as an informal link between families and the teacher, and who sometimes receives notices from the school to share with the group.
The WhatsApp group is not an official channel. Do not use it to communicate with the teacher or to report absences — that goes through Itaca.
AFA Telegram
The AFA publishes its notices, announcements and registration links on its Telegram channel:

This is where after-school activity registrations, committee meetings and school events are announced. If you are not in the channel, you will miss important notices.

The NIA (Número de Identificación del Alumno — pupil ID number) can be found in your child’s official school documents or in Itaca. Each pupil also has a GVA email account assigned to them.
Patience at the start of term
The school is slow to get communications going in early September. It is normal not to receive clear information in the first few weeks. This is not specific to this school — it happens across the state school system. If you hear nothing, check the class WhatsApp group or message the school office via Itaca. Things settle down by late September.
